In Ukraine, it always gets cold unexpectedly. To ensure that the first frosts don't catch you by surprise, stock up on quality thermal underwear now.
If you've found this page, we believe you're not using the old type of cotton thermal underwear, known in Soviet times as "khebeshka," or long johns. This fabric never warmed anyone – along with heat, it trapped moisture on the body, and side effects included swelling, rashes, and other skin problems. The worst was hypothermia. "Khebeshna" thermal underwear led to pneumonia due to moisture retention on the body and slow drying.

Modern manufacturers use fabrics that quickly and efficiently wick away moisture and retain only heat on the body. For the production of high-quality thermal underwear, Camotec uses the technological, hypoallergenic fabric Polarheat Quadro Stretch.
Fabric Features
Thermal underwear made with Polarheat Quadro Stretch can be recognized by its small cells, similar to LVL2 in the American ECWCS layered clothing system. Each cell is covered with a layer of quadro microfleece, which fits snugly against the body. This provides better "breathing" and moisture wicking. Because there are gaps between the groups of pile from the loosely woven main fabric, moisture and excess heat are wicked away from the body faster.
Thermal underwear is sewn with reinforced thread using flat seam technology, which adds ergonomics and durability to the product. The models are designed with constructive darts under the armpits and in the saddle area – they do not restrict movement or rub.

A person freezes when moisture from their skin evaporates due to the laws of physics. Wicking away moisture and trapping warm air on the skin helps to retain heat that might otherwise be lost. Warm air is retained on the body precisely because of the cells and microfleece on them, and it is also blocked by the outer layer of fabric.
Camotec Thermal Underwear
Camotec has been producing Polar-type thermal underwear using microfleece for 10 years. During this time, we have been able to test over ten different variations of this type of thermal underwear, take into account all the features and advantages of the fabric, and have developed two options for thermal underwear that are suitable for work, active recreation, or even wearing at home.

In Camotec's layered clothing concept, thermal underwear is considered the first layer. Thermal underwear collects and wicks moisture away from the body, keeping warm air as close to the wearer's skin as possible. Excess moisture and heat are released outwards and accumulated by the second and third layers of clothing. It can also be worn in combination with a moisture-wicking long-sleeve shirt worn under the thermal underwear.
For the production of thermal underwear, we use improved fabric with antibacterial impregnation and anti-pilling treatment. This makes the model pleasant to the touch, minimizes the risk of allergic reactions, and prevents pilling on the clothing.
Women's Thermal Underwear Line
Since September 2023, Camotec has launched a line of women's thermal underwear. It is also made using "waffle" material with microfleece.

The first models are already available in black and tan colors.
Where it can be used
We designed our thermal underwear to truly provide comfort to its owners in all circumstances.
When using the layered clothing concept, Camotec thermal underwear will reliably perform during combat missions. In combination with functional clothing or uniforms, it will provide soldiers with warmth and comfort in cold weather, both during guard duty and during combat missions.
Microfleece-based thermal underwear will be indispensable for active recreation enthusiasts. Mountain climbing, forest walks, skiing, and snowboarding cannot exist without quality thermal underwear. Take care of your protection against hypothermia in advance – your body will thank you with health and warmth.
Microfleece will also be an indispensable assistant for fishermen and hunters who have to be outdoors in cold conditions.
Choose Camotec thermal underwear – stay warm.
