To ensure your item serves you as long as possible, it's important to care for it properly and follow the manufacturer's recommendations.
We have a few general and main rules for caring for items from camotec:
- Wash on a delicate cycle (up to 30-40°C).
- No or minimal spin.
- Bleaching is prohibited.
- Do not use artificial drying.
- Do not dry in direct sunlight or on a radiator.
- Iron on a delicate setting, inside out, through a cloth or special ironing mesh.
Special attention should be paid to membrane clothing (fabrics: Softshell, NordStorm, Stormwall Shrp, etc.).
- Small dirt is best removed with just a cloth or soft brush.
- Wash separately from other clothes, on a delicate cycle without spinning.
- Use liquid detergent, not powder.
Special care for items made of natural cotton and fabrics containing cotton.
- Wash on a delicate cycle (30-40 degrees) to avoid shrinkage and color loss.
- It is advisable not to wrinkle, rub, twist, or wring out forcefully.
- Do not use spinning.
Features of care for fleece fabrics.
- Use only liquid detergent to avoid clogging between the fibers.
- Rinse items thoroughly to wash detergent out of the fibers.
Features of fabrics with water-repellent impregnations.
Such impregnations lose their effectiveness over time, depending on the frequency and intensity of washing (about 20-30 full washes).
Therefore, for the item to fully perform its functions (moisture and dirt protection), we recommend renewing the impregnation every season with special sprays (for example, DWR sprays).
