Woobie 2.0 MC/Tan Liner Blanket

Field blanket. An indispensable item for field conditions, hikes, and tourism. It can be used as a blanket, pillow, shelter, hammock, jacket liner, seat cushion, mattress – when sleeping on the ground, anything to help – and something soft when you're away from home.

The first Woobie field blanket was developed in the 1960s during the Vietnam War when American soldiers and marines were engaged in jungle warfare. Servicemen needed a lightweight poncho to stay relatively dry in the humid jungles and rice paddies, and to keep them warm on cool nights.

The outer side of the blanket is made of Micro Rip-Stop fabric – a synthetic material woven with reinforced threads forming a framework, which prevents the expansion of damage in case of mechanical damage to the fabric. The material is lightweight, thin, and has high wear-resistant properties. The inner side is made of smooth and pleasant-to-the-touch nylon.

The filling is Temploft, an innovative new-generation insulation, a technological analogue to natural down. The material is very light, does not migrate through the fabric, is hydrophobic (does not absorb moisture), and retains and restores its shape after compression.

The blanket comes with a compression sack made of the same material for convenient transportation. It also includes straps that allow you to secure this blanket as a tarp.
