Woobie LT MC Liner Blanket

A field blanket is indispensable in field conditions, hikes, and tourism. It performs numerous functions: it can be used as a blanket, pillow, shelter, hammock, jacket liner, seat, or even a mattress when sleeping on the ground. The Woobie field blanket was first developed in the 1960s during the Vietnam War. American soldiers and marines needed lightweight and compact protection that would keep them dry in the humid jungles and rice paddies, and warm during cool nights.

The field blanket is made of StormNet Rip-Stop fabric with a polyurethane layer. This is a specially designed material with increased resistance to tearing and damage. Its unique structure is achieved by weaving thick, reinforced threads into a thinner base, forming a characteristic "checkerboard" or "grid" pattern. The outer side features a polyurethane layer that retains water, and the exterior has a moisture-resistant impregnation that provides reliable protection against moisture. This combination makes the blanket not only lightweight and durable but also ideal for use in high humidity conditions, ensuring comfort and dryness in the field.

The filling is Temploft, an innovative new-generation insulation that is a technological analogue of natural down. It is very light, does not migrate through the fabric, is hydrophobic (does not absorb moisture), and is able to retain and restore its shape after compression.

The set includes a compression sack made of durable mesh fabric for convenient transport, as well as straps that allow the blanket to be used as a tarp.
