Woobie MC Liner Blanket

Field blanket. An indispensable item for field conditions, hiking, and tourism. It can be used as a blanket, pillow, shelter, hammock, jacket lining, seat cushion, mattress – when you sleep on the ground, anything to help – and something soft when you're away from home.

The Woobie field blanket was first developed in the 1960s, during the Vietnam War, when American soldiers and marines were engaged in jungle warfare. Servicemen needed a lightweight poncho to stay relatively dry in the humid jungles and rice paddies, and also to keep them warm on cool nights.

Made from Micro Rip-Stop fabric – a synthetic material with interwoven reinforced threads forming a framework, which prevents the expansion of damage if the fabric is mechanically compromised. The material is lightweight, thin, and has high wear-resistant properties.

The filling is Temploft, an innovative new-generation insulation, a technological analogue to natural down. The material is very light, does not migrate through the fabric, is hydrophobic (does not absorb moisture), and retains and restores its shape after compression.

A compression bag made of the same material comes with the blanket for convenient transport. Also included are straps that allow you to secure this blanket as a tarp.
