The shoulder board is made from durable and wear-resistant Cordura. The precise and high-quality design is created using high-precision, computer-controlled laser cutting, where holes are cut into the material with a laser, allowing for clear lines and even edges that do not fray.

The design is not printed on the patch, but rather formed by an insert that shows through the Cordura cutouts. This makes the patch durable and the image resistant to abrasion.
